Electronic Motor Winding
In the project a stator tooth for an electrical machine with winding and associated power electronics was to be developed as a mechanically, electrically, magnetically, thermally and EMC-technically self-contained unit. The aim was to use such "electronic motor windings" to build a drive unit with good electromagnetic compatibility and high power density. The disruptive idea was to integrate power electronic elements (semiconductor chips made of Si or SiC), the enameled copper wires of the winding and the flux-carrying iron of the stator tooth.
