For anyone interested in innovation: The NEULAND Innovation Day at KIT deals with the topics of innovation and entrepreneurship
This year, the focus of the event is on innovations that contribute to a more sustainable, digital and healthier future. These aspects are clear goals in the EU strategy for a sustainable future, in which Germany plays a decisive role as an important business location. KIT is therefore heavily involved in research areas to advance these goals.
For the first time, we are creating a link between science, business and art with the Innovation Day. Through this interdisciplinary approach, we are supporting freedom of thought, a central theme of the Science Year 2024.
Join us on June 12 on the KIT South Campus and take a look at the innovations of tomorrow.
ICM participation at the Innovation Day
The partners of the Innovation Campus InnovationCampus Future Mobility (ICM) will present their research at a booth in the exhibition from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. in the foyer of the Audimax on the South Campus of KIT, Straße am Forum 1, 76131 Karlsruhe.
- The ICM project DefoRe ("Design for Recycling") uses natural fiber composite plastic (NFVK) for vehicle seats to show that sustainable future mobility does not begin on the road, but rather in the development and manufacturing processes and in the choice of materials. In the project, the researchers involved in NFVK design implementation are developing a complete methodology that ensures the sustainability of all process steps, from design and production to recycling - with the aim of transferring this methodology to other components such as the cockpit or door panels.
The “Digital” theme slot (1:45 p.m. to 2:45 p.m.) will also feature various presentations by ICM project participants:
- Prof. Dr.-Ing. Tobias Düser (IPEK, KIT): Metaverse
- Anjela Mayer (IMI, KIT): Virtual interaction using AR / VR methods for production environments
- Semorai GmbH: Enabling AI-powered solutions for your engineering and quality management
