BUP4 - Test vehicle "eVee"

Conception, design and construction of a test carrier for demonstration and testing of prototypes from ICM projects

Within the framework of the ICM, vehicle subsystems are developed in various projects. In order to demonstrate the applicability of the developed modules in a real vehicle concept of the future and to make the project results accessible to experts, the media and the public at exhibitions, the developed subsystems were combined in the common test vehicle "eVee". The vision for the test vehicle corresponds to a small and efficient light vehicle which, as part of an autonomous car sharing fleet of the future, solves the problem of the first and last mile and thus makes a contribution to sustainable and networked mobility.

Aim and approach

  • Development and concretization of the vehicle concept for the test vehicle
  • Extensive integration and possible substitutability of alternative solutions of different ICM projects for specific submodules and functions
  • Definition of requirements for the powertrain topology, the required power ratings and the available installation space for different subsystems as well as interfaces for the integration of submodules
  • Design, manufacturing, and assembly of the test vehicle
