BUP14 - Experimental Vehicle "eVee”

Integration of a modular fuel cell system in the experimental vehicle "eVee" and construction of a demonstrator vehicle

Based on the existing experimental vehicle "eVee", which can be equipped with both battery and hydrogen fuel cell, the mechanical adaptation of the components of a fuel cell drive system is carried out in this project.

In addition, the fuel cell system and the drives will be integrated electrically. In addition, control software will be implemented in the vehicle to display the driving function.

Approach

  • A first test vehicle has been built
  • Common interfaces of the subsystems are specified
  • Driveability of the test vehicle is established by integrating electric drives, battery and fuel cell system
  • Identification of common mechanical and electrical interfaces
  • Modular integration concept, which allows easy switching between battery and fuel cell system
  • Construction of another vehicle as the basis for a trade fair vehicle with CFRP bodywork
