In the AM0/EA0 project, novel design processes and design possibilities for electric motors and drive systems through the use of additively available materials and structures were explored.
Approach
- Electromagnetic and structural-dynamicElectromagnetically and structurally dynamically optimized design of an example machine (electric motor)
- Manufacture and investigation of additively manufactured toroidal core samples
- Construction of demonstrators as proof of process suitability
- Sensor integration, as well as the development of design guidelines that combine the boundary conditions from product and production
